About Rod Sudbeck

Rod Sudbeck has a practice rooted in Vipassana (Insight) and Mindfulness Meditation traditions, with particular areas of study in translation and cultivating joy. He finds profound honor in bringing these techniques to people in his local community and far corners of the globe.

Rod shares the practice in a way that's easy to understand and useful in everyday life. He gets authentic and transparent, with doses of humor one might not expect from someone practicing a tradition of discipline. Rod also enjoys working one-on-one in his private practice, helping people awaken, reduce stress, manage chronic pain, and turn anxiety into certainty. R

od holds free weekly online sessions and is available for large audiences, small groups, corporate events, and family sessions. Rod's other interests include surfing and all things water. He loves playing percussive instruments and translating world music. He recently celebrated his 25th year in real estate, which he brings a mindful approach to.

Rod's involvement in humanitarian aid for over 15 years impacts the development of clean water, free wheelchairs, food, and solar lamps in developing environments. He loves to bring groups on "Purpose Trips," where he combines humanitarian aid with adventures in surfing. He's a father to 10 and 12-year-old boys, who are also seasoned in children's Vipassana Meditation. As a family, they bring meditation to life in a fun and creative way that others find easy to adapt to their daily routines.
